IMANI A. MITCHELL
Born and raised in Sacramento, CA, Imani developed her love for storytelling during her childhood where she immersed herself in imagination and creativity.
Imani went on to receive her Associate's degree in Theatre Arts with an emphasis on acting from Sacramento City College. From there, she went on to act for various professional theaters within the Northern California area.
Due to a lack of diversity and representation within theater and film spaces (both on and behind screen), Imani was motivated to create her film company, IAM Studios, with the intention of creating diverse and compelling works. The mission of IAM Studios is to employ and support talent of color and showcase stories that are authentic, nuanced, and impactful.
